Citrus Community Yoga & Wellness

CCYW strives to bring a unique yoga and wellness experience to all, to support our community’s health and wellbeing through natural healing modalities.

Citrus Community Yoga & Wellness is an idea of hope, healing and change for those of us that need it most.

Everyone should be able to find meaningful and natural ways to let go of anxiety, depression, stress, etc. This place will be love and inclusion for our community. We will offer classes and workshops that are geared towards the novice yogi, children, seniors, as well as people struggling with addiction or mental health challenges.

For now we are offering community events throughout Riverside.

There are a lot of hoops to jump through to create a Non-Profit, but the hard work has started to pay off. HOORAY!! CCYW has obtained its 501 (c) (3) status!! Now we can really start to make this dream a reality.

Our Founder Maggie

Maggie has casually practiced yoga since 2000. In 2015 everything changed with a Multiple Sclerosis diagnosis. Knowing she needed to emerserse herself into something healthy, she searched for answers and found herself in yoga teacher training. In June 2016, she earned a 200 hour certification. Shortly after certification, a purpose arose, and encouraged Maggie to question her lifestyle and brought about many necessary changes. Eliminating stress was on the top of the priority list. Changing career, relationships and life goals gave her the ability to delve even deeper into her practice and create a new lifestyle of peace, acceptance and happiness. Incorporating a physical practice, Ayurveda, Holistic Nutrition, Mindfulness and Meditation into her life has sent her disease into remission.

With this she is encouraged to share her experiences of healing. Specifically; restorative yoga, yin yoga, meditation, and nutrition. In her journey she has worked with people recovering from spinal injury, not only for physical recovery, but the emotional recovery needed. As well as others with anxiety, depression and autoimmune disorders.

The bleakness of 2020 encouraged her to pursue further yoga training completing her 500 hour Registered Yoga Teacher Training. Along with an additional continued education certification in Thai Yoga Bodywork.
